Is Hackney’s night life under threat?

Hackney’s night time economy is under threat by the council’s plans to reduce the amount of late night licences, that’s according to people fighting the changes. 

The proposals will make it harder for people opening new venues to get licences that allow them to open past midnight. 

The council believes this will cut down theft and violence.
