London Swimmer Prepares for Atlantic Crossing

An endurance swimmer from the capital is hoping to become the first person in the world to swim non stop from New York to London. Michael Ventre plans to set off in April 2017, and swim for 7 months, backed by a large support boat containing 16 crew. London Live went to meet him as he begins his training at Tooting Bec Lido
