Youth re-offending rates in London down 14%

The Deputy Mayor for Policing & Crime has been quizing police chiefs and experts in City Hall about reoffending rates in the capital.

It comes as the level of reoffending amongst young offenders has seen a 14% drop in the last 5 years.

Campaigners say the issue of re-offending is very complex and City Hall needs to do more to understand and tackle it further.
