Mother attempts to raise £30,000 for daughter's crucial surgery

The family of a 4 year old girl from Kilburn with cerebral palsy are attempting to raise thousands of pounds for an experimental operation.

Bailey Walters-Lawrence needs a type of spinal surgery, to try and help improve muscle stiffness.

Funding for the clinical trial was pulled by the NHS last year, and so her mother is now trying to raise 30,000 pounds herself.

The fundraising attempt has been backed by local DJ Esther Jones and musician Tom Murray, with a music event set to take place this weekend. They told us how they got involved in the project.
