Bexley council's ward boundaries under review

Bexley Borough's ward boundaries could change under new proposals set out by an independent body.

The South East London borough asked the Local Government Boundary Commission for England to review its ward boundaries as part of a cost cutting measure.

If the plans go ahead it would mean a reduction in the number of councillors serving in the council.

The council says not only will it save money but it will also make sure people living there are represented fairly.

A consultation has now opened to the public.
