Remembering 1916 - Life on the Western Front

Hundreds of unique objects from the First World War will go on display at a major new exhibition at Whitgift School in Croydon this month.

Remembering 1916 - Life on the Western Front hopes to give an insight into the conflict by recreating bombed-out cellars and British and German trenches at the Somme.

The curator says despite all of the centenary events, he felt there were still stories to tell.
