Council funds new foodbank in fight against food poverty

In recent years, foodbanks have become a fixture in the capital and it seems that demand is growing.

Now Hammersmith and Fulham council hope that a new scheme could spell the end of foodbanks in the area. The Hub @ 75 in White City is run by the Trussell Trust, but has advisors funded by the council.

The hope is that visitors will receive not just something to eat, but also advice or training.
