Erith awarded £20m to regenerate town centre

Bexley Borough has been awarded £19.7 million to rejuvenate Erith's town centre.

The money comes from a series of grants from Transport for London and the London Enterprise Panel.

The Zone 6 town could see improved traffic flow and it's former library, the Carnegie building, being transformed into a new skills centre. More shops are expected to be part of the plans also.

Funmi Olutoye reports.
