Lib Dem mayoral hopeful launches plan for London

Liberal Democrat mayoral hopeful Caroline Pidgeon has set out her plan for London, putting housing at the top of the agenda.

Ms Pidgeon said she would retain the annual 20 pound Olympic precept that Londoners pay in their council tax to cover the cost of 50,000 council homes and 150,000 rental properties.

The Party’s manifesto was launched at the Lewisham Southwark College, where construction skills are taught.

The Lib Dem candidate also proposed cheaper oyster fares in the morning before 7:30am and plans to recruit 3,000 more police officers.
