Southwark Council accused of "disrespecting" grandmother's grave

Southwark Council is being accused of "behaving disrespectfully over plans to build on a graveyard in the borough. The grandaughter and great-grandaughter of Annie Elizabeth Kirby, who was buried in an unmarked 'pauper's plot' in Camberwell New Cemetery during World War Two, have labelled the proposals "disgusting".

Rose Ives and her mother Tina Kirby have launched the online campaign Respect Our Ancestors to raise awareness of the issue.
