LGBT protestors stage "kiss-in" at Hackney Sainsbury's

Shoppers at a Sainsbury's Local were in for a surprise last night.

Hundreds of campaigners staged a peaceful protest, described as a "kiss-in".

The event was a show of solidarity for a gay couple who were asked to leave the store after a customer complained about them 'touching inappropriately'.

Sainsbury's have apologised for the incident.
