Rape in mainstream media

It's a subject that's not often talked about - in fact only 1 in 15 women who go through it report it to the police. Yet, 1 in 6 women in the UK and 1 in 3 in the world are affected by rape. It's been under the spotlight in popular TV programme, Eastenders, following a recent storyline. We spoke to Emily Jacob, who was raped but has waived her right to annonymity and has written a moving letter about the fictional trial in the programe, based on her own experience. That letter has since gone viral on social media.
