Laura Mvula launches music teacher of the year competition

MOBO award nominee Laura Mvula was in Brixton for the launch of the Music Teacher of the Year Awards with Casio and ABRSM.

The annual award is part of the Action in Music campaign which recognises outstanding music education.

She told London Live how important it is to recognise teachers who aim to inspire especially when times are tough and budgets are stretched.

Students and Staff at Evelyn Grace Academy also said how important campaigns like Action in Music were to music education.
