The Funny Women Awards

Rising stars of the comedy world battled it out for laughs at the annual Funny Women Awards.

The event held at Koko in Camden recognised talent in three categories - comedy writing, comedy short and a stage award.

After being selected from regional heats, the six finalists in the running for the stage prize were asked to perform one last stand-up routine in front of a packed audience and judges.

The prizegiving, which was first held in 2003, has been a launching pad for stars including Sarah Millican, Katherine Ryan, Sara Pascoe, Andi Osho and Miss London.
