Bishop of London presents Spitalfields church with mulberry tree

The Bishop of London was in Spitalfields to present a church with a very special mulberry tree.

The plant commemorates the mass emigration of fifty thousand French Protestants to the capital back in 1685.

Known as the Huguenots, the group of refugees founded London's silk industry and the tree is significant because silk worms eat its leaves.
