Jerwood Open Forest

The best of the UK's forests are being brought to London with a new exhibition opening in Central London.

As part of the project launched by Jerwood Charitable Foundation and Forestry Commission England, five artists have created pieces to showcase our green spaces in their own artistic interpretation.

The exhibition examines art in the environment and its potential to facilitate experimentation and engagement. During the comissioning process, five selected projects were picked to feature, where the aritsts were given a six-month period of research, development and mentoring. The result being the exhibition at the Jerwood Space, London.

The Exhibition opens 2 November - 11 December 2016

Later this year, one of the five projects will be chosen for a £30,000 art commission to realise their ideas fully in their proposed Forestry Commission England location.
