London MPs urged to lobby government over business rates

London MPs are being urged to lobby the government over a planned change to business rates. From next April, it's claimed firms in the capital will pay almost 900 million pounds more a year in tax - with an average increase of 11 percent. The Federation of Small Businesses says that will put many companies at risk. Ministers say nearly three quarters will see no change, or even a fall in bills.
