Mayor raises council tax to pay for extra neighbourhood police

Londoners will see more police on the capital's streets as the Mayor continues his drive to get two dedicated PCs in every neighbourhood.

But the move has been criticised after it was revealed it will lead to a rise in council tax of 8p a week to cover the costs.
