Hackney urges boroughs to do more to protect "grassroots" music venues

Hackney is calling on other London boroughs to do more to invest in the capital's night time culture.

It comes after the council signed a 15 year lease with Shoreditch's Village Underground venue - London's Night Czar Amy Lamé has welcomed the move, as a new report from the Mayor's office claims "grassroots" music venues are stable for the first time in 10 years.
