Royal Academy of Dance reveals plans for new HQ

The Royal Academy of Dance is set to move to a new home after striking an unusual deal.

The plan will see it handing over its old base in Battersea to a developer, in return for a modern building just a mile away.

The Academy is expected to move into its new HQ in 2020, in time for its centenary.

Chief executive Luke Rittner believes the deal could be a blueprint for other arts organisations.
