The last travelling post office train celebrated with a new stamp

Royal Mail have today released a new stamp - featuring an oil painting that has also just gone on public display in the capital, for the first time. The picture in question was originally created in 2004 - and shows staff onboard one of the last Travelling Post Office Trains. The artist and President of the Royal Institute of Oil Painters Ian Cryer created the work - and Philip Parker is the Royal Mail's stamp strategy manager.
