Historic Gay members club to reopen as recreation in Soho

More than 80 years after its forced closure - the gay member's cub, The Caravan has been recreated on the site of the original venue in Soho.

The National Archive and the National Trust are behind the revival.

In 1934, the police, who considered the club so dangerous it needed regular suveillance, raided it, leading to more than 100 arrests.
