Haringey Council face backlash over £2bn redevelopment plans

Haringey council are facing opposition over plans for a £2 billion regeneration project in north London. 

The borough has partnered with the developer Lendlease for its so called Haringey Development Vehicle, a scheme that would see land, housing and property transferred into a private company which is jointly owned by the council and the developer. 

Liberal Democrat spokesperson for Hornsey and Wood Green Dawn Barnes attended a meeting on the issue last night.
