EXCLUSIVE: George Osborne appointed editor of the London Evening Standard

Former Chancellor of the Exchequer George Osborne has been announced as the next editor of the Evening Standard newspaper.

It has been confirmed he will take over the role in May, working four days a week and balancing the job with his duty as MP for Tatton in Cheshire.

Earlier Mr Osborne spoke exclusively to London Live.
