The 17th Serpentine Pavilion

The artist behind this year's Pavilion at the Serpentine gallery says the newly unveiled structure was inspired by a similarity the capital shares with his home country of Burkina Faso in West Africa. Francis Kere says his Tree-like building offers shelter from the rain, something needed during summertime in both London and his home town.
