Campaigners call for review of Earl's Court redevelopment

Campaigners are calling for a review of the redevelopment of Earl's Court. A report being launched today by Green party London Assembly member Caroline Russell is urging Mayor Sadiq Khan to build the world's greenest venue on the site of the art-deco exhibition centre.

In response, a spokesperson for the developer Capco said:

“The consented Earls Court Masterplan will create a remarkable new district for London, delivering thousands of new homes for Londoners and £500m of community benefits. Creating over 10,000 new jobs, we will invest £7m into local and employment and business strategy. Earls Court is a 20-year scheme which is well underway, with the first residents having already moved in.  The Masterplan can grow and evolve in line with London’s needs to bring significant benefits for residents, the local areas and for London.”
