The same number of Londoners are diagnosed with cancer each year as get married - 34,000 people. The comparison has been made by Macmillan to highlight how cancer is now one of the most common, life-changing events we can face. The support charity has launched a new campaign aimed at promoting the belief that a life with cancer is still a life.
