Exhibition explores gender identity

Conversations around gender identity are becoming more common - but a new show in Mayfair explores art from a time when it was a Taboo. Ultimate Angels combines the work of two artists whose pieces were created decades apart. Byron Newman's portraits of transitioning sex workers in the early 80s are mixed with Aphrodite Papadatou's paintings of transgender people in London today. She's been explaining more about the project to Luke Blakall.

You can see the show Ultimate Angels at the Herrick Gallery in Mayfair until the 24th of July.
