Demand for designer breeds is putting puppies at risk

An undercover investigation by an animal charity has found puppies as young as 4 weeks old being smuggled into the UK, often in horrific conditions. The Dogs Trust said demand for designer breeds, including the most popular French Bulldog was fuelling the illegal trade. The organisation is now urging MPs to bring in tougher rules.
