Great London River Race takes over the Thames

Hundreds of crews from across the world  took part in the Great River Race - London's Marathon on the Thames.

The 21.6 mile row appeals to every level of competitor from dedicated athletes who like winning, to those who enjoy laughter, fancy dress and charity stunts.

The rain held off for most of the route and we've been finding out why some of them were keen to take on the challenge.
