Ute Lemper unveils her secrets to the capital

Singer and actress Ute Lemper has enjoyed an extraordinarily varied career. From winning an Olivier Award for her role in Chicago in the West End to a Grammy-nominated album via her interpretations of classic Berlin cabaret, she rarely follows a predictable path.

Her latest role is an unusual collaboration with the best selling novelist Paulo Coelho, where she has interpreted his book 9 Secrets to a stage show, complete with world music and a film projection by Oscar-winning director Volker Schlöndorff.

Ute Lemper spoke to Luke Blackall ahead of her show at London's Cadogan Hall.
