Flying the flag for Jasper Johns

The first major exhibition of work by the American artist Jasper Johns will open in the capital this weekend.

It's the first time such a large collection of his work has been shown in the UK for four decades.

Known for his iconic images of flags, maps and numbers, the Royal Academy show brings together more than one hundred and fifty pieces created over the last sixty years.

Jasper Johns: 'Something Resembling Truth' runs at the Royal Academy of Arts until the 10th of December.
