Getaway planes, Italian Jobs and meeting John Wayne - Michael Deeley discusses his life in cinema

Michael Deeley was the producer behind some of the best-known films of the 20th century.

From redifining the car chase with The Italian Job, to working with David Bowie on The Man who Fell to Earth to winning an Oscar for The Deer Hunter, his career was a fascinating one.

Coinciding with the release of the Blade Runner sequel (he also produced the first film), he is now releasing an updated version of his biography Blade Runners, Deer Hunters & Blowing the Bloody Doors Off.

He spoke to London Live's Luke Blackall about the book, and some of the tales within.

Blade Runners, Deer Hunters & Blowing the Bloody Doors Off is out on 30th October, published by The History Press.
