The Mayor of London’s equality campaign

In the run up to the centenary of women securing the right to vote in 2018, the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, has announced a new campaign celebrating the role that London played during the suffragette movement. The campaign also aims to also highlight the inequality that women and girls still face.

The Mayor of London joined ambassadors of the Fawcett Society who took a workshop with students in Stockwell, teaching them about the history of female equality.

Sadiq Khan says he hopes the campaign will drive gender equality across London.
