A disaster hidden for years now remembered in Bethnal Green

The Bethnal Green tube shelter disaster of 1943 has been honoured with the unveiling of a memorial.

Said to be the worst civilian disaster of World War Two with 173 people crushed to death while trying to enter the station which was being used as an air raid shelter.

The fundraising for today's event took more than 10 years.
