Royal College of Physicians celebrate 500 years

The first of a year-long season of events to celebrate 500 years of the Royal College of Physicians gets underway this week. The institute is the oldest medical royal college in England and Wales. Over the next 12 months it hopes to explore some of the famous figures and complex questions that have shaped the organisation. The first physician to come under the spotlight is William Harvey, who discovered the way blood circulates through the body.
