Network of rapid charging points for electric cars launched

It is hoped that drivers with electric cars will now have more options with the arrival of a new network of rapid charging stations. Unveiled by the Mayor, they can charge a vehicle in 20-30 minutes, instead of the 7-8 hours it usually takes. Around 100 have been installed across the capital, but taxi drivers say they still need more support to make the switch from petrol and diesel.
