1 in 10 Londoners can't cope with getting a puppy

It is National puppy day and while adding a new bundle of joy to the family will appeal to many, new research from a pet food firm, suggests more than 60 percent of Londoners who had taken the step of getting a dog, felt they had bitten off more than they could chew.

TV Vet and wildlife expert Steve Leonard give advice.
