Hackney Shorts event returns for a 2nd year

Filmmakers and video artists with an eye for local issues are being invited to take part in a showcase that's returning to east London.

Hackney Shorts is now in its second year and will see selected work screened at this summer's Stoke Newington Literary Festival.

Three shortlisted filmmakers will also receive a £1000 prize and access to mentoring.

Hackney Shorts founders Tom Campbell and Steve Epstein spoke to London Live's Alison Earle.
