91 year old writes his first play

The play Happy Warriors tells the remarkable true story of writer Evelyn Waugh and Randolph Churchill - son of Winston - finding themselves locked in a farmhouse in the second world war.

The piece itself also has a remarkable story, in that it was written by debut playwright James Hugh Macdonald, who is 91 years old.

You can see Happy Warriors, upstairs at the Gatehouse theatre in Highgate until 22nd April.
