Photography exhibition gives old club new life

Students at the London Metropolitan University are curating a new exhibition about the Brady Club.

The Brady Club, in Whitechapel, supported low-income Jewish families through the 1940s and 1950s.

More than 200 items of found photography and memorabilia will be on display to celebrate the history of the club, which is said to have defined the East End's Jewish community.

The exhibition will be on at Calcutta House in Aldgate from the 2nd of May to the 18th of May.
