Students seek compensation following university strike action

More than a thousand university students have joined together in a bid to claim compensation for teaching that they missed during this year's lecturers' strikes.

The action hit 65 universities last term with no teaching or assessment being taken during strike days.

The lawyers taking the case forward are applying for a Group Litigation Order with the hope to claim some of the fees students lost during the strike period.
