Londoners urged to walk more

Londoners are being encouraged to incorporate a brisk walk into their daily routines - rather than just counting steps

Public Health England says just 10 minutes of moderate physical activity - getting your heart rate up and breathing faster, can help combat diabetes, heart disease and even some cancers.

Medics and the Mayor's walking commissioner were at Southwark tube station promoting the message.
