The BBC Proms to start with a special outdoor display

The BBC Proms at the Albert Hall will begin this year with a free outdoor show projected onto the building.

5000 people are expected to attend the performance, which is a collaboration between composer Anna Mereditch and specialists in visual arts.

The piece was created to commerorate 100th anniversary of the end of the first world war  and hopes to explore the idea of telegrams and comunications in wartime through music and its abstract stylings.

You can see the display on the 12th of July, which will be broadcast on bbc two the following day.
