Tommy Steele returns to the London stage 60 years after his debut

 

Tommy Steele, the Bermondsey born boy often dubbed as the UK's first ever rock n' roll star will return to the London stage 60 years after his debut.

Now 81, Tommy will play the lead in the London Colisuem's new production The Glenn Miller story - reunited with old friend Marti Webb.

He told London Live's Toby Earle that he will be filling the shoes of a man his father took him to see when he was just 9 years old.
