Avoid Street Crime, Become a Mentor

A pilot scheme which provides activities for primary school leavers who are at risk of getting involved with gangs, is set to be rolled out across the capital.

The Stepping Stone programme has been tested at three schools, including one in Tottenham, where the Mayor today saw classes in action, as he announced more funding to offer the sessions to 2,000 young Londoners.
