London Assembly says Thames is 'transport goldmine'

Calling the River Thames an 'underutilised transport goldmine', The London Assembly Transport Committee is calling on the Mayor of London to champion the waterway, and urging Londoners to use the River Bus for more commuter journeys.

They say with improved accessibility and increased promotion the River Bus can be used to its fullest potential.

Given the importance of the river and the pressure on other modes, the Committee thinks it is essential for River Bus services to be given more support.
