A Level results day: the clearing process

The number of top A level grades dropped slightly this year, following a major shake-up of the exam system.

The proportion of A*s fell to its lowest level since 2013.

Nationally, boys outdid girls, as Universities look to fill thousands of available positions.

Paul Woods from Middlesex University gave advice on the clearing process.
