Grant for Southbank Undercroft

It has been the subject of much debate, following a proposed closure, and a successful campaign to keep it open. Now the Southbank's Undercroft skate spot, a legally protected asset of community value, has been awarded a grant of £200,000 from The London Marathon Charitable Trust, as part of a project to help it expand. Often considered the birth place of British skateboarding, the redevelopment aims to allow people of all abilities and backgrounds to use the site.
