Businessman forced to fake death by Afghan gangsters, claims wife

The wife of the businessman jailed for faking his own death has claimed they were forced into the hoax by Afghan gangsters holding them to ransom. 

Anju Kumar who reported her husband Sanjay's death and claiming 1.1 million in life insurance, said three Aghan businessmen were holding gun to his head and demanding money after a business deal went wrong. 

Mr Kumar has been jailed for two and half years for three counts of fraud and six months for further three counts.
